Name: Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients: 2 1/2 c. flour; 1 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. salt; 1 c. margarine, softened; 2/3 c. granulated sugar; 2/3 c. brown sugar; 2 eggs; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut; 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips; 1 c. chopped pecans

Combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.

In large bowl cream together margarine and sugars.

Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add flour mixture and beat until well blended.

Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Bake 12 minutes at 375u00b0.

Remove cookies to rack to cool.

Store in tightly covered container. Yields 5 dozen.
