Chewy Caramel Bars

   Toss cereal and peanuts in large bowl.

   Place caramels and water in top of double boiler; heat over boiling water until caramels are completely melted, stirring occasionally.

   Pour over cereal mixture; mix lightly until well coated.

   Press cereal mixture firmly into parchment paper-lined full hotel pan (or half hotel pan for trial recipe).

   Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

   Cut into bars.

   Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
