Combine in pan and heat the buttermilk, salt, sugar and oleo.

After mix bubbles around edges of pan (don't boil) add in instant potato buds to warm lowfat milk

(sufficient to thicken lowfat milk to thin gruel).

Cold to lukewarm.

In large bowl of mixer put 1/4 c. hot water and add in yeast and stir till dissolved.

Add in lowfat milk mix, soda and 3 c. flour.

Beat till smooth.

Add in sufficient of 4 1/2 c. flour to make soft dough and knead on floured board about five min or possibly till smooth and elastic.

Put in greased bowl, turning to grease other sides.

Cover, let rise in hot place (85 degrees) free from draft for about 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till double in bulk.

Punch down and let rise 30 min or possibly till almost double.

Punch down and knead to distribute bubbles.

Divide into two loaves shaping to fit loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3 inches.

Brush with oleo.

Let rise 45-55 min or possibly till double.

Bake 25 to 35 min in 350 degrees oven or possibly till done.

Remove from oven and grease top and sides with oleo.
