Combine cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr and spices in large bowl.

Stir in green onions.

Bring lowfat milk and oil to boil in small saucepan.

Heat 4 inches oil to 350 F. in large saucepan or possibly deep fryer.

Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into warm oil (don't crowd).
