Ingredients: 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated; ¾ cup flour; ¼ teaspoon salt; ¼ teaspoon dry mustard; ¼ cup butter, soft; 1 ½ cups broccoli florets, steamed; 1 cup evaporated milk; 1 cup onion, chopped; 1 cup mushroom, sliced; ½ teaspoon salt; ¼ teaspoon nutmeg; ½ cup cheddar cheese, grated (or more); 3 eggs, lightly beaten; pepper, to taste

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
¾ cup flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
¼ cup butter, soft
1 ½ cups broccoli florets, steamed
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup mushroom, sliced
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup cheddar cheese, grated (or more)
3 eggs, lightly beaten
pepper, to taste

Combine the first 5 ingredients and press into a 9-inch pie plate.

Place broccoli in pie plate.

Combine milk, onion, mushrooms, salt, nutmeg and pepper in a saucepan and simmer for a few minutes.

Stir 1/2 cup of this mixture into the eggs, then add eggs into the hot mixture and pour over the broccoli.

Bake at 400F for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 375F and continue baking for another 30 to 35 minutes or until firm.

Sprinkle final 1/2 cup cheese on top of pie.

Let stand 5 minutes and serve.
