Brandied Cherry Sauce

   Combine cherries, sugar, water, brandy, and salt in a small sauce pan.

   Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 1520 minutes or until cherries are softened.

   Dissolve cornstarch in 1 teaspoon of water.

   Stir into sauce and return heat to a boil.

   Cook about 1 minute or until thickened.

   Stir in lemon juice.

   Serve with French toast, waffles, pancakes, ice cream or your dessert of choice.
