Biscuits(Sweet Milk)

   Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar together; work in shortening and add milk.

   Stir together to make soft ball.

   Put flour on bread board and form dough into flat ball.

   Roll out with rolling pin about 1-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter. Grease baking sheet and put biscuits on close to each other. Makes 2 dozen.

   Bake in hot oven (450u00b0) for about 15 minutes.

   Put lard pieces on top before baking in indention on biscuit.
