In a very large bowl, mix together thoroughly with wire whisk or possibly sift.

Cut in shortening with pastry blender, knives or possibly finger tips.

Biscuits: 2 c. mix, make hole in center.

Ham or possibly Bacon Biscuits: Add in 1/3 c. crisp bacon or possibly 1/4 c. very finely minced ham.

Pancakes: 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk, 1 egg to 2 c. mix.
