Beehive-Oven Apricot Bread

   Cut dried apricots into pieces with scissors.

   Cover with boiling water.

   Let stand 1 hour.

   Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, apricots and water in which apricots were soaked.

   Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and blend into batter.

   Add nuts.

   Pour into 8 x 5 x 3-inch or 2 small buttered bread pans. Bake at 325u00b0 for 1 hour or until the bread tests done.
