Beef with Beer and Wine in the Crockpot

   After trimming the fat off of the beef roast and browning it, place it in a crockpot.

   Mix bottle of beer with beef bouillon, pour over roast.

   Pour red wine over roast.

   Cover and cook on low until beef falls apart (I usually leave it overnight, but beware if your bedroom is close to the kitchen!

   It smells so good it might wake you up!)

   I use this for French dips (put it on French bread with melted provolone cheese), but I also use it as my pot roast recipe (add the liquid to a roux and make gravy), or chop the meat up and throw it in chili, vegetable beef soup, etc.
