Ingredients: 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar; 3 lb Grnd chuck; 1 Tbsp. Dry mustard; 1 lb Sausage; 1 Tbsp. Salt; 2 lrg Onions minced; 2 tsp Paprika; 10 ml Garlic minched; 1/2 tsp Pepper; 2 c. Celery minced; 3 1/2 c. Water; 1 sm Green pepper minced; 1/4 c. Cider vinegar; 3 tsp Chili pwdr; 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire; 14 ounce Catsup

1 Tbsp. Dry mustard
1 lb Sausage
1 Tbsp. Salt
2 lrg Onions minced
2 tsp Paprika
10 ml Garlic minched

2 c. Celery minced
3 1/2 c. Water
1 sm Green pepper minced
1/4 c. Cider vinegar
3 tsp Chili pwdr
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire

Mix grnd beef and sausage meat in a bowl; shape into 2 large patties.

Brown one at a time, 5 min on each side in a large kettle or possibly 5 qt electric slow cooker.

Remove and reserve.

Pour off all but 2 tablespoonsful of the drippings.

Add in onions and garlic, saute/fry just till soft.

STir in celery and green pepper; continue cooking just till celery is soft, then stir in chili pwdr; cook 2 min longer.

Combine meat, broken into chunks and sauteed vegetables in the slow cooker.

Stir in catsup, brown sugar, mustard, salt, paprika, pepper, water, vinegar and worcestershire sauce; stir till well-blended; cover.

Cook on low for 8 hrs, stirring after 4 hrs if possible or possibly on high for 4 hrs, stirring after 2 hrs.

Spoon over your choice of warm corn bread squares, rice, toast or possibly tamales.
