Put your bandcandy bars in the freezer for at least 15 minutes - or longer if they're caramel-filled. This will make them easier to cut into chunks for your cookies.

With a large knife, cut up the semi-frozen candy bars into whatever size chunks you like.

Mix together the first five ingredients: brown sugar, white sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg. Mix until fluffy and wonderful.

In a separate bowl, mix the next three ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt.

Add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture. Mix until well blended and lookin' like cookie dough. Add the candy pieces. Mix until well blended.

Drop rounded spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet, spaced about two inches apart. Bake 9-12 minutes.
