In a large bowl, whisk together oil, sugar and vanilla until combined. Add eggs, 1 at a time, whisking well after each addition. Mix in mashed bananas. Combine flour and baking soda. Alternately fold flour mixture and soy milk into egg mixture, starting and ending with flour. Transfer to prepared pan and smooth surface. Bake for 35-40 mins, until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 15 mins then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Meanwhile, to make the passionfruit icing, mix together powdered sugar and enough passionfruit pulp to form a paste. Place over a pan of simmering water and stir for 2-3 mins, until smooth.
