1
In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic (1 clove will do, but 2 gives a stronger and spicier kick), onion salt, oregano, parsley, and black pepper.
-
2
With a fork, mash ingredients until well incorporated.
-
3
Cut off crust of bread slices, leaving a square shape.
-
4
Spread cheese mix onto each bread slice and then cut each slice in half.
-
5
Take bacon strips and cut each in half.
-
6
Roll or fold bread slices and place each on a slice of bacon.
-
7
Wrap bacon around the bread and secure with a toothpick.
-
8
Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil.
-
9
Place bacon wraps onto the tray with enough room to allow for turning pieces during cooking.
-
10
Place on the 2nd rack of the oven on LOW broil.
-
11
Check after the first 10 minutes and turn each piece onto its side.
-
12
Allow it to bake for another 7-8 minutes.
-
13
Check wraps to be sure that nothing is burnt.
-
14
If needed, allow them to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to brown up on that side.
-
15
Then turn once again onto the opposite side to make sure that everything is nice and crispy.
-
16
Allow to cook for an addition 5-10 minutes, checking wraps every 1-2 minutes to avoid burning.
-
17
Remove and place on a serving tray.
-
18
Enjoy!
