1/2 c. oleo, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 3/4 c. applesauce
1 c. chopped walnuts

Beat together well the oleo, sugar and eggs, until fluffy. Stir together well the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg.

Add flour mixture and applesauce, all at once, to egg mixture.

Stir together.

Beat on medium speed of electric mixer for 2 minutes.

Stir in walnuts.

Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch cake pan.

Bake at 350u00b0 for 50 minutes or until center tests done.
