Applesauce Cake

   Heat oven to 350u00b0.

   Grease and flour two 9-inch layer pans or one 13x9 in pan.

   Blend dry ingredients in bowl.

   Add shortening, water, and applesauce.

   Beat 2 min, medium speed with mixer. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl constantly.

   Add eggs.

   Beat 2 more min., scraping bowl frequently.

   Stir in walnuts and raisings. Bake layers 35 to 40 min and 13x9 pan 45 to 50 min.

   Cool.
