Apple Squares

   Combine salt and flour.

   Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.

   Blend yolks, lemon juice and cold water; blend into flour mixture.

   Divide mixture into two equal parts; set aside one part.

   Roll other part to fit bottom and halfway up sides of a 9 x 12-inch pan.
