   Soak wheat bran in 2 cups boiling water while preparing the rest.

   Cream sugar and shortening.

   Add eggs and buttermilk.

   Sift flour, soda and salt.

   Add all-bran cereal; mix well.

   Add soaked wheat bran.

   Fill greased muffin tins and bake 15 to 18 minutes at 400u00b0.

   Pour remaining in glass jars and refrigerate.

   Will keep a month.

    Do not stir.
