1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. molasses

2 eggs

1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Cream shortening, spices, peels, molasses, salt and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.
