Wonderful Custard

   Heat the milk, sweetening and salt.

   Stir the hot milk slowly into the lightly beaten eggs.

   Add vanilla.

   Pour the mixture into custard cups.

   Bake in a moderate oven (350u00b0) in pan of water (1-inch).

   Bake until the custards are set or when the blade of a knife comes out clean.

   Remove from hot water immediately.

   Serve hot or cold.
