Preheat the oven to 220C.

Sift the flour onto a work surface and use one hand to knead it with the egg, a pinch of salt, and oil while adding the water, a little at a time, with your other hand until it is of the right consistency.

Knead the dough vigorously with both hands until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Bring the dough together into a ball, brush it with oil, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

In the meantime, carefully wash the berries and dry them.

Saute the breadcrumbs with the butter.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured kitchen towel, place your hands under the sheet of dough, carefully stretching it without tearing it, until very thin.

Brush the dough with some of the melted butter.

Spread the breadcrumbs over the dough.

Add the berries on top of the breadcrumbs with a pinch of ground cinnamon.

Cut off the edges of the dough to even it out.

Use the kitchen towel to roll up the dough tightly.

Place the strudel on a buttered baking sheet and brush it with the remaining melted butter.

Bake the strudel for approximately 30 minutes.

Serve the strudel warm sprinkled with powdered sugar and if you like, some lightly whipped cream.
