2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped

24 (7-inch) thick pretzel rods
6 ounces chocolate-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped

Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 4-6 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 240F or small amount of mixture dropped into ice water forms a soft pliable ball.

Add baking chocolate and vanilla; stir until chocolate is melted.

Pour chocolate mixture into 2-cup glass measuring cup or bowl.

Dip each pretzel rod 2/3 into mixture, spreading chocolate to cover.

Let excess drip back into cup.

Place pretzels onto prepared foil, rotating if desired, for an even coating.
