Ingredients: 2 c. sugar; 1/2 c. butter; 1/2 c. lard; 3 eggs; 1/4 tsp. nutmeg; 1/4 tsp. salt; 1 c. sour cream; 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda; 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder; 5 to 6 c. flour; raisins (optional)

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. lard
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 to 6 c. flour
raisins (optional)

Combine ingredients as listed, adding flour 1 cup at a time until you have a stiff dough.

On a floured surface roll out dough to around 3/8 to 1/2-inch thick.

Place cut out cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.
