Washington cake (spice cake)

   pre heat oven to 350*F, grease and flour 2 8in round pans

   cream butter and sugar til light

   beat eggs, add wine and mix with sugar/butter mixture

   sift together flour, baking soda, spices

   add 1/3 flour mix and 1/2 cream to butter mix and mix well.

   and 1/3 flour and rest of cream mix well.

   add rest of flour and mix well

   pour into pans bake for 45 minutes, knife inserted in should come out clean
