Ingredients: 1 shallot, minced; 1 garlic clove, minced; 2 tablespoons olive oil; 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes; 1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste; ½ cup red wine; 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes; ½ cup unsalted butter; 8 ounces prosciutto (sliced); ⅔ cup vodka; 1 cup heavy cream

2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
½ cup red wine
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
½ cup unsalted butter
8 ounces prosciutto (sliced)
⅔ cup vodka
1 cup heavy cream

Heat Olive oil over medium high heat in sauce pan.

Add minced shallot and garlic and sautee for 2 minutes.

Pour juice from the tomato cans into the pan.

Pour drained tomatoes into food processor and pulse for a few seconds.

Simmer for 3-5 minutes before adding pulsed tomatoes.

Add tomato paste.

Turn heat down to a simmer, cover, and let cook 30 minutes.

Add wine and red pepper flakes to taste.

Let simmer 20 minutes.

Start pasta water with salt and oil.

Add butter to large sauce pan and melt over medium heat.

Add in proscuttio and sautee until lightly browned.

Pour in vodka and let evaporate about 10 minutes.

Mix in marinara and cream.

Let simmer 10 minutes.
