Vinegar Pie(Early Pioneers)

   Combine vinegar, water and sugar and bring to a boil.

   Add butter and stir until it melts.

   Mix the flour with a little of the cold water until smooth.

   Add slowly to the boiling liquid and stir until thickened.

   Pour filling into pastry lined pie pan.

   Cover with strips of pastry in a crisscross fashion.

   Bake at 450u00b0 for 16 minutes.

   Reduce heat to 350u00b0 and bake 20 minutes longer.
