Vinegar Pie

   Mix sugar, egg yolks, salt, butter or margarine and flour (dissolve flour in a little water first) and the rest of the water and vinegar together.

   Cook over hot water, about 25 minutes. Cool a few minutes to luke warm.

   Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust and bake in 425u00b0 oven until the pastry is nicely browned.

   Beat the egg whites, add a tablespoon of sugar per egg and flavor with lemon juice.

   Beat until the whites form a peak meringue.

   Brown lightly in a 325u00b0 oven.
