Preheat your oven to gas 7 / 220C / 425F and grease & flour a 2lb loaf tin

In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast

In a seperate bowl combine the milk and vinegar

Add the liquid ingredients to the flour mix to form a sticky dough, add 350mls to begin with then add extra by tablespoon as needed

Add the oil and mix in.

The batter should be like a thick cake mix, stiff enough to hold its shape but drop slowly from a spoon

Pour the mix into the loaf tin and smooth the surface over with the back of a wet spoon

Let rise for 20 minutes only then put in the oven

Bake for 45 - 60 minutes until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the base

Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing
