Vegemite Toad in the Hole

   CUT a 5cm round hole from the centre of each slice of bread using a biscuit or scone cutter and reserve for another use (e.g.

   breadcrumbs).

   Spread one side of each slice with butter and VEGEMITE then place buttered side up on a paper lined baking tray.

   SPRINKLE 3/4 cup of the cheese over the bread then top each with another slice of bread.

   Crack an egg into each hole.

   Sprinkle over remaining cheese.

   BAKE in a hot oven 200C for 15-20 minutes or until egg is cooked and cheese is golden.

   Serve immediately.

   HANDY TIP: Make fresh breadcrumbs by processing the discarded bread rounds in a food processor.
