1 c. dark brown sugar

1/2 c. lite molasses
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 qt. baking crock

Wash beans and cover with 6 cups water.

Boil 3 minutes. Cover; let stand 1 hour.

Put fresh water over beans; add all ingredients and bring to boil.
