Mix together the butter, powdered sugar, marzipan, vanilla extract and orange zest. Fold in the flour and mix until smooth. Divide the dough in 2 and mix the melted chocolate and cocoa into 1/2. Roll both halves into cylinders about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350u00b0F. Grind the candied orange peel and mix with the granulated sugar. Remove the dough from the fridge and and brush the sides with the whisked egg yolk and roll in the orange sugar. Cut into 1/4 inch thick slices and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Place a pecan half into the centre of each cookie and sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown.
