preheat to 350, butter pan

whisk 1.5 cups flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in large bowl

beat egg whites in another large bowl until peaks for (7-8 mins). gradually beat in sugar

add egg yols one at a time, beating to blend

beat in 2 twp vanilla. add flour in 3 additions.

bake 25 minutes. reduce heat to 325, continue baking until cake is golden brown and middle springs back when pressed, 20-25 mins more. let cake cool for 15 mins and invert onto wire rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet

whisk 1/2 tsp vanilla, evaporated milk, and remaining ingredients in medium bowl. poke holes all over top of cake with skewer. slowly drizzle half of sauce over cake. . invert cake again into a cake after 10 minutes, drizzle remaining sauce over and spoon run-off back onto cake
