Combine juice, sugar, salt and shortening.

Cold to lukewarm.

Add in yeast and water to tomato juice mix.

Sift flour.

Add in to yeast mix.

Blend thoroughly.

Knead dough on floured board for 10 min.

Place in greased bowl.

Cover and allow to rise in hot place for 2 hrs, or possibly till dough retains the impression of a finger.

Punch down.

Fold over, cover and allow to rise again till dough is half as large as its original size (1/2 hour).

Remove to floured board.

Divide into 4 pcs.

Mold into balls.

Allow to stand, closely covered, for 15 min.

Shape into loaves.

Place in greased pans; let rise till above pan (about 2 hrs).

Bake 40 min at 400 degrees.
