Cut up the tofu into large-ish pieces (it will crumble later anyway so no need to be precise here).

Heat some sesme oil in a frying pan and stir fry the ginger and ground meat until the meat changes color.

Add the water, chicken stock granules and the ingredients marked A to the frying pan.

Add the tofu and simmer for a while until the flavors have penetrated the tofu.

Add the katakuriko dissolved in water, mix gently until thickened and it's done.

Spoon plenty of the mixture over hot rice, scatter with some chopped green onion and it's done.

Variation: mix a raw egg and soy sauce with the rice and spoon the tofu-meat mixture over that.
