The Honest Bison Marinara Sauce

   Heat skillet and pour olive oil.

   Sautee onions and add garlic.

   Once onions have started sweating, add carrots and wine. Cook for 5 min until wine has reduced.

   Add ground bison, salt, pepper, oregano, & thyme and cook until meat is brown.

   Pour into slow cooker add can of tomatoes, and cook on high for 2.5-3 hrs.

   Taste and add salt as needed.

   Serve with cooked pasta, zucchini noodles, rice, or even on its own.
