The Best Big Chocolate Chip Cookies

   Preheat oven to 325F.

   Cream softened butter and both the brown and white sugar until well blended, then beat in the vanilla and eggs.

   Sift flour, baking soda, and salt in one bowl and then mix this to the wet ingredients.

   Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.

   Drop about 1/4 of a cup of dough onto greased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart.

   Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes or until they start to look brown at the bottom, then let them sit for a few minutes before switching them to a wire rack to cool.
