Sweet Zinfandel Granita

   In a small mixing bowl stir together water and sugar until sugar dissolves.

   In a 2-quart square baking dish combine sugar mixture and wine.

   3. Cover and freeze about 6 hours or until firm, stirring once or twice. Use a large metal spoon or ice-cream scoop to scrape mixture into small bowls. To serve, place each bowl into a slightly larger bowl. Surround small bowl with fresh fruit.
