3 lbs sweet potatoes
3 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
¼ cup melted butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
⅓ cup flour
⅓ cup melted butter

Boil sweet potatoes in water enough to cover for 30 to 40 minutes, until tender.

Drain, cool and peel.

At this point the peels are easily removed by hand.

Mash together with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Butter a 13x9 inch glass pan.

Add 1/2 of the sliced apples and top with 1/2 of the mashed sweet potatoes.

Layer the remaining apples and sweet potatoes.

Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle on top.

Bake covered at 350 for about 45 minutes.
