1/2 c. diced onion
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1 Tbsp. poppy seed
2 tsp. butter, melted

Saute onion in shortening until golden. Mix egg and milk; blend in Bisquick.
