2 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. soft oleo
5 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar
fine, dry bread crumbs

Butter tube pan and sprinkle with bread crumbs and shake out excess and set pan aside.

Sift and mix flour, soda, salt, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.

Cream and mix sugar, oleo, vanilla, eggs and sour cream.

Mix above alternately beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Spoon batter into pan and bake about 1 hour in 325u00b0 oven.

Cake is done if knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool in pan 10 minutes.

Remove from pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
