1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Fill a glass/pyrex pie plate with peeled, cored and sliced apples - not too full, just enough to fill it to the edges.

3. Mix 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. sugar and sprinkle over apples. Set aside.

4. In a medium saucepan melt 3/4 cup butter (1 stick and 1/2) - make sure it is really hot!!!

5. Add this to flour and sugar mixture with lightly beaten egg - all at once.

6. Mix it well and pour/place over the apples. Be sure that the apples are totally covered and try not to go too near the edges of the pie plate. If you do it will run over and burn as well and/or adhere itself to the edge of the pie plate. Press it down firmly with your fingers or hand if necessary.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes, or until top of pie is golden brown.
