1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp olive oil
2 oz bean thread vermicelli
10.5 oz gai lan (Chinese broccoli), trimmed, cut into 2 inch pieces
2 None spring onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves
1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

In a medium bowl, combine chicken with spice mix, sugar, 1/2 tbsp chili sauce and 1 tsp soy sauce.

Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry chicken mixture, in batches, until chicken is browned and sticky. Remove from wok.

Meanwhile, place noodles in a large bowl and cover with boiling water. Let stand for 5 mins, or until tender. Drain.

Wipe wok clean. Add gai lan to wok along with 2 tbsp water. Stir-fry for 1 min, or until just tender. Add remaining sauces and stir-fry for 1 min, or until heated through. Add noodles and toss until just combined.

Transfer stir-fry to a serving platter and top with chicken. Serve sprinkled with onions, cilantro and sesame seeds.
