Saute onion in butter until well done. Cook spinach (drain very well). Cut up cheese into small pieces (do this early in day so that cheese is at room temperature). Add eggs to cheese and mix well, this will be similar to a batter. Add this batter to spinach and onion and mix well.

Put half phyllo dough in bottom of 9x13 glass baking dish. Be sure to butter the top side of each pastry sheet. Add filling.

Put other half of phyllo dough (again, butter each one) on top of filling and tuck sides of dough under bottom on each side. Brush the extra melted butter on top. Cut into squares before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. this may be served hot or cold.
