500 g fresh spinach, washed and drained
125 g butter
2 medium onions
2 cloves garlic
100 g peeled potatoes
1 teaspoon cumin seed
1 teaspoon coriander seed
1 teaspoon fennel seed
3 cardamom pods

1 liter cold water
600 ml plain yogurt
sea salt
black pepper

Peel and thinly slice the onions and garlic.

Peel the potato.

Heat a large heavy bottomed pot.

Pour into it a little oil.

Fry the whole spices for a few seconds.

Add butter and reduce heat.

Fry until soft and lightly coloured.

Cut the potato into cubes and add it too to the pot.
