1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease cookie sheet.

Combine flour, soda and salt and set aside.

Beat butter and shortening with electric mixer for 30 seconds.

Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Add milk, egg and vanilla and beat well.

Add dry ingredients to mixture and beat well.

Add oats, raisins and nuts and mix well. Drop teaspoonful 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
