Spiced Apple Muffins

   Cream shortening and sugar.

   Beat in egg; blend well.

   Add milk alternately with sifted mixture of flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

   Fold in apples.

   Fill greased muffin pans half full, then top with topping mixture.
