½ cup diced onion
3 garlic cloves
1 lb hamburger meat
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil oregano and garlic
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

In a large 4 quart sauce pan heat the oil and saute the onion and garlic over med-low heat for about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent.

Add beef and continue to cook for about 5-10 minutes.

Drain the grease.

Add remaining ingredients and blend well together.

Cover the pan, reduce heat and cook on low for 1 hour.
