Southern Pound Cake

   Preheat oven to 350

   Prepare bundt cake pan with spray (or other) vegetable oil

   Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Sift 3 times

   Cream butter, sugar and eggs

   Add flour mixture using buttermilk as needed for moisture.

   Add flavoring. Almond and lemon work well.

   Bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 min.

   Remove cake from oven and cool completely.

   Drizzle with glaze icing and serve.

    This tastes great alone or with fruit, ice cream or whipped cream.
