For the topping: Put coconut sugar in a high-powered blender or food processor and pulse on high until your coconut sugar becomes a fine powder.

Pour it into a shallow bowl.

Put the melted butter in another shallow bowl.

When your donuts are done, dip both sides in the melted butter and then dip in the coconut sugar to coat.
