Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high heat and add the oil.

When warm, add the patties.

Meanwhile, combine the next 8 ingredients (up to the jalapeno) in a bowl and mix well.

Pour this sauce into a skillet and bring to boil and reduce to a simmer.

Add in the peppers and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.

After cooking the turkey burgers for 5 minutes, flip and add the jalapenos to the pan.

Cook for 5 more minutes putting 2 slices of cheese on each burger in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove from pan and let rest 2 minutes.

Assemble by taking 1 side of the bun and top with lettuce. Add the burger and finish by spooning on the peppers and sauce.
